Large chandeliers
If you’re fortunate enough to have very high ceilings in your home, or are looking to light a restaurant, store, or hotel, for example, we can offer you a fantastic range of big chandeliers, both classic and modern, to fit the space. As long as you leave at least seven feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor, the sky is the limit when it comes to colour, shape, and design. This amazing large modern Italian chandelier measures three metres in height, two metres in diameter, and is lit by 84 bulbs.
Large chandeliers, however, need not be tall, which means that if your ceiling isn’t the height of a ballroom, you can still enjoy a spectacular oversized chandelier in one of many styles. There are plenty of wide chandeliers on the market to choose from, some of which have enormous diameters and a smaller drop.
For a stairwell, you can choose a tall column chandelier or a long glass prism chandelier. The largest of these installed by us measured nine metres in height. This is a smaller version, commissioned and installed by us in a UK private residence.
A barn with a vaulted ceiling may suit a medieval style chandelier made of iron. We rather like this design.
When it comes to lighting a foyer, mosque, church, or large reception area, then we are entering the realms of the large bespoke chandelier. You will need to find a specialist like Italian Lighting Centre who will work with you on design, then install and maintain it for you. We can adapt current designs found on site, and would love to talk to you.
The only issue with large chandeliers is that of weight. If yours is very heavy, it might be a good idea to get some advice from us. Alternatively, we can do all the hard work for you, and install it ourselves, providing any scaffolding, equipment, and manpower. A chandelier lift is often a good idea if you have a big chandelier. It makes changing bulbs a lot less of a headache
