Murano glass horn Chandelier (POA)
A well-chosen Stairwell Chandelier will always enhance a home. No wonder that many developers consider it one of their secret weapons when it comes to selling a property!
Almost invariably it is going to be the first light fixture that you see upon entering a building.....there are so many designs to choose from, however here are a few style suggestions with relative merits:-
The classic "Twister" Style Chandeliers.
These are a firm favourite, and always popular, and never seem to lose their appeal. The Chandeliers are made up of stands of lead crystal octagons.
Relatively low in weight for their size, and easy to install. If good quality crystals are used the effect is spectacular.
Below is a more complex variation of a "twister" style Chandelier, with crystal octagon chains supported on laser cut metal frames (POA)
The glass tends to be blown pyrex. The advantage is weight. So long structures tend to be light, compared to soda glass (Murano glass) , or lead crystal
This 6 meter long Chandelier, weighs about 110kg (POA)
A smaller clear glass version in a fairly restricted space (POA) :
Art glass Chandeliers:
They can weigh quite a lot if made with Murano glass, however, there can be considerable savings in weight if Murano glass is substituted with pyrex glass.

Mid Century Style Hallway Chandeliers:-
The timeless elegance of Murano glass prisms has great appeal. The glass prisms are typically 28cm long, and the underlying frame dictates the shape. There is a lot of flexibility in the design of this type of Chandelier
