Transparent or White Murano Glass flush fitting ceiling light

A beautiful traditional Venetian flush-fitting ceiling lantern, entirely hand-made on the famous glass-making island of Murano.

The mould for this beautiful ceiling lamp is first fashioned from wire. The glass-master then blows the molten glass into the frame where it expands into the lovely curved shape you see here.

The hot glass is then stamped with a special ‘baloton’ mould to create a raised criss-cross pattern on the clear glass. This is a very typical centuries-old Venetian glass-making design, which is still very popular today.

Also available in Smooth White glass, with a polished chrome frame (except on the largest size where the frame is dark). 

This piece may bear some tiny imperfection that will attest to its having been fashioned entirely by hand, thus increasing its value and uniqueness. It is based on a historical design and has been crafted using purely traditional techniques.
