Small cobalt blue Murano glass 'baloton' ceiling pendant
A stylish traditional and entirely hand-crafted Venetian ceiling light in a beautiful deep blue Murano glass, featuring a centuries-old Venetian design.
The glass is first hot-blown by the glass master, and then stamped with a special ‘baloton’ mould to create a raised criss-cross pattern on the glass. This is a very typical Venetian glass-making technique which dates back as far as the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and is still very popular today.
There are three alternative finishes available – amber baloton, crystal baloton, and red baloton. Please contact us if you would like further information.
