
Parisian art deco-style console table with Venetian mirror

A wonderful narrow Murano glass console table with antiqued bevelled mirror sections and meticulously hand-crafted black-lacquered stucco-coated wooden feet. The design is inspired by the works of Serge Roche, the celebrated Parisian art deco designer (1898-1988).
Roche, a contemporary and friend of Renoir, Pisarro and Picasso, was famous for his eclectic furniture and lighting designs using mirrors. Originals of his work sell for huge sums today. Some pieces are exhibited in the Courtesy Galérie in Paris.
