A beautiful gold Murano glass chandelier in the Rezzonico style, typified by the small pieces of conjoined glass which envelop the internal metal frame of the light. This may be a very traditional style, but it will look absolutely sensational in a minimal pared-back setting.
The design dates back to the 17th century, and was first seen in the Rezzonico palace, hence the name. Shows of excess were the order of the day, as wealthy merchants competed with each other for status. Ever larger chandeliers in their palaces were breaking under their own weight, and a solution needed to be found.
