Other designs pair Bohemian crystal with brass frames, including pieces with decorative cast details. Crystal and Murano Glass Prism Lights

Prism ceiling lights use repeated glass or crystal elements to form a drum, ring or tiered outline. Their effect comes from the shape and arrangement of the prisms, which catch daylight as well as light from the bulbs.

Some designs use cut lead-crystal prisms; others use Murano glass, including three-sided triedri and four-sided quadriedri forms. These are different materials, so it is worth checking the specification of the particular light. Selected designs offer a choice of crystal or glass, frame finish and prism colour.

Alongside the more ornate ceiling lights, the collection includes simpler geometric designs. These offer an alternative where you want visible crystal detail without scrolling arms or elaborate metalwork.

Choosing the Diameter and Depth

A ceiling light can have a shallow profile and still be substantial in width. Some designs in this collection extend to a metre or more across, while others are intended for much smaller spaces. Consider the diameter and depth together rather than choosing by the number of bulbs alone.

For a lower ceiling, check the full installed height of the light and the clearance beneath it. Not every light in this selection is flush-fitting, and decorative drops can add considerably to its depth. Larger crystal and glass ceiling lights can also be heavy, so their weight and fixing requirements should be discussed with your installer before ordering.

Finishes and Related Wall Lights
