Axo Light have been designing and manufacturing high-quality modern Italian lighting on theVenetian mainland since 1996. Thanks to the input of high-profile designers such as Manuel Vivian, Karim Rachid and Dima Loginoff, the company has gone from strength to strength and now boasts offices in the US and China.
Their offering is split into two. The Axo Light collection is aimed primarily at the consumer market, with a large selection of floor, ceiling, wall, and table lights like the gorgeous Aibu glass lamp
The Lightecture collection, on the other hand, is aimed at the contract market, with more than 500 variations in colour, size, light source, and style. Bell, for example, is a range of pongè fabric ceiling lights in a number of colours, the largest of which measures an incredible 1.8 metres in diameter, creating an incredible impact in the largest of spaces.
There is strong emphasis on hi-tech fabrics in both ranges. Skirt, for example, is made from flame-retardant Trevira® in a range of vibrant colours, with an optional black net outer layer.
Plumage is a flamboyant and exciting design for floor and ceiling, with shades made again from Trevira®, in 7 colours, or a multi-coloured mix of all
Their location on the Venetian mainland makes it inevitable that Axo Light would include products made from world-renowned Murano glass. Noteworthy designs include the beautful Aura collection, with coloured Murano glass ribbons. Aura lends itself very well to a variety of applications, from small-scale wall lights, to large foyer installations. The slightest breeze causes these lovely ribbons to rotate gently.
Satisfying the most fashion conscious, the Spillray range of chandeliers, pendants and lamps is made in red, orange or grey, and has a definite 1970s vibe
Also in line with current trends, Axo Light have introduced a fabulous new metallic glass finish recently, not only for Spillray, but also for their new modular Nafir and Fedora ranges.
Axo Light can be proud of several award-winning designs, which include Mountain View, launched at Euroluce, Milan in 2015. A glass dome contains a relief model of a mountain-scape, illuminated from above in gold, amber or silver.
Muse, with its colourful stretch fabric covers, is a complete range of lighting for the home, and is another award-winner (Elle magazine, Russia).
21 Axo Light products in all are listed on the Red Dot awards website. Further endorsement of their status in the field of design is their inclusion in Architonic’s list of top 20 lighting companies in Europe.
In all, this is a company which is dedicated to offering you a huge choice of cutting edge designs, setting and following new trends, and maintaining the highest standards in lighting manufacture.
Italian Lighting Centre are very pleased to be listed as authorized suppliers of both Axo Light collections. If you can’t find a product on our site, please get in touch with us and we will be delighted to help.
