Antiqued Amber Venetian Glass Wall Lantern

A gorgeous traditional antiqued amber Murano glass wall light on an amber metal fitting, entirely hand-produced on the famous glass-making island of Murano in the Venice lagoon.

The mould for this beautiful light is first fashioned from steel wire. The glass-master then blows the molten glass into the frame where it expands into the lovely curved shape you see here, before it is allowed to cool.

This lovely lantern is part of a small collection which includes a flush-fitting ceiling lamp and a beautiful co-ordinating pendant light.

All three lights are available in the amber finish shown here, and in a crystal baloton finish, using a special mould to create a fabulous criss-cross pattern on the glass.

This piece may bear some tiny imperfection that will attest to its having been fashioned entirely by hand, thus increasing its value and uniqueness. It is based on a historical design and has been crafted using purely traditional techniques.
