8-Metre Stairwell Chandelier Installation
I must confess that at 8 metres drop, we are working close to the limit of the 'Twister' style design. Why? Because as the crystal chains get longer, they get heavier. And eventually the weight of the glass will cause the clips to open up, which is no good at all.
We can work around this by using heavier weight clips, and glass with 10% lead content, which is considerably lighter than 24% and 30% lead crystal. The photos you see below show the installation sequence, which took two days.
