Traditional Murano crystal chandelier with 'baloton' finish
A lovely classic handmade Italian crystal chandelier, with three lantern lights, on a steel wire and antiqued gold leaf frame.
The hot blown glass is stamped with a special ‘baloton’ mould by the glass-master to create a raised criss-cross pattern.
This is a very typical Venetian glass-making design which dates back as far as the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and is still very popular today.
We are also able to offer you an alternative ‘scavo glass’ finish, with an opaque amber diffuser, offering a soft and warm glow.
