Unsual Venetian wall light with 'scavo' or clear glass finish

A stunning and very unusual traditional Murano ‘scavo’ glass wall light fitting with a decorative black wire trim and a long gold leaf ‘stem’. The amber shade gently diffuses the light for a soft and warm glow.

Hand-crafted on the famous glass-making Venetian island of Murano, this fabulous light can be placed to very special effect, particularly on a high ceilinged wall, such as in the stairway shown further down the page.

A special chemical has been used to erode the surface of the diffuser, to give it the lovely opaque rustic appearance you see here.This is a popular choice for a traditional rustic decor, and perfect for a country kitchen, but the styling sits just as well in modern homes.
