Several hundred years ago in Venice, there were some 70 prosperous workshops run by artisans who, taught by the Spanish Muslims who had settled in the city, worked with leather to create superb embossed leather wall coverings for the Venetian aristocrats in their splendid palazzi. This elegant modern chandelier is inspired by those historical works, but is brought up to date for the 21st century with ecologically-sound eco-leather and glass studs.
