A lovely traditional Murano glass side lamp with a gold leaf base.
A special chemical has been used to erode parts of the surface of this lovely light, to give it the semi-opaque rustic finish you see here. The Venetians call this "scavo" glass.
This is a popular choice for a traditional rustic decor, and perfect for a country kitchen, but the styling sits just as well in modern homes.
