A magnificent "regency style" or "empire" chandelier, plated with 24 carat gold, and entirely adorned with 24% lead crystal droplets.

Empire chandeliers are traditional and elaborate in design. The style dates back to the Napoleonic period of French history, and was a backlash to the traditional chandeliers constructed for pre-revolutionary French kings and queens.
